Itinerary
Day 1: Svolvær and Lofoten Welcomes You
Put your shoulders down as you step outside the airport. Here the time goes slowly and you’re here to get off the grid and indulge in the local atmosphere. Meet your driver and transfer to the city and your accommodation, which is a traditional fisherman’s hut.
After check-in, have a stroll before a cold drink awaits with your delicious local dinner. Why not try the not-travelled fish? The local fisherman catches it almost on your doorstep.
YOU HAVE ARRIVED. Welcome!
Day 2: Set Sail into the Horizon
Finally, after your Norwegian breakfast, you will meet Sachi and Kenneth at the yacht S/Y Stella Oceana, your private sailing boat, for the next few days. Once you arrive onboard, you’ll get familiar with your home for the next few days.
Grab a refreshing drink as you push Stella off the dock, getting ready for a day of fishing, relaxing, and hopping over to the tender boat for a stroll on a secret island!
Then, you’ll anchor up at a remote island, where you can sit in the hot tub with awe-inspiring views.
Life is now.
Day 3: Lofoten Relaxed on Sea
Enjoy your breakfast as you feel the waves comfortably rocking you. Next, you’ll begin the day with a legendary trip to Trollfjord. With its narrow entrance and steep-sided mountains, it is quite a sight! Now it’s time to get close to nature on a SUP! You’ll paddle along the ancient mountainsides, waterfalls, and white-tailed eagles. Could it be any better?
Lean back and let the smell of the sea, the view over the protected area of Svellingsflaket, and let the long days give you energy.
Day 4: Silent and Slow to Svolvær
You’ll begin day four by learning more about what lives in the sea and above it. Both Sachi and Kenneth have deep knowledge, and they are happy to share this knowledge as the wind takes you back to Svolvær.
Say thanks to your hosts and enjoy your evening on solid ground.
Day 5: Get off the Main Road
Why take the direct route when you can explore the more unique ones? Our local experts have put together a journey that gives you a local taste! Drive via Gimsøy and experience exciting birdlife, white beaches, and old Vikingviking trails. Maybe a hike up to Hoven at 368m is tempting?
Continue on the off-road and make your detours. Stop at Lofotr Viking Museum to learn more about the old Viking days on the islands.
After a few kilometres, you’ll reach Lofoten Gårdsysteri, an organic goat cheese farm. You’ll stay in a renovated old farmhouse, between the fjord and the mountains.
Day 6: A day of Hiking and Beach Wander
When you open your eyes, you’ll have a lovely organic breakfast waiting for you. Then, your hosts and farmers will tell you exactly where to go for the perfect hike, and you’ll enjoy nature’s silence.
Grab your lunch pack made at the farm and get started!
End your day by wandering on Unstad Beach, known for its perfect surfing conditions!
Day 7: Drive to the end of the Island, Å
You’ll begin day seven by hitting the scenic road, and make sure you take your time! It is only 80 km, but each curve reveals a new moment and an urge to stop the car. Make sure you stop and be present in nature.
Stop in cosy Reine for a stroll, coffee, and lunch.
Reach Å at your own time. Å is one of the best-preserved old fishing villages in Norway. Check in to one of the cute red fisherman’s huts on the sea.
Day 8: Get grounded at the Authentic Fishing Village
You’ll begin day eight learning about a local fishing village. Fishing is the life and heritage of Lofoten. The Norwegian Fishing Village Museum is an excellent place to start. You’ll learn about life in a fishing village and the development of Lofoten fishing over the past 250 years.
Make sure to get some cinnamon rolls from the bakery at the museum, made in the old stone oven from 1878! Then, bring your snacks outdoors and into the beautiful and dramatic landscape!
Day 9: A drive from Å to Henningsvær
Take your time as you drive north towards Henningsvær. Then, make sure to take off and follow the Fv 815 for a scenic coastal route! Hopefully, with some goat cheese and cinnamon rolls you purchased earlier in the trip!
Arrive at the iconic small village of Henningsvær, a famous fishing harbour and dominant player in the fishing industry. Locals know Henningsvær as one of Norway´s oldest fishing harbours! Immerse yourself in the local culture, shops, and restaurants.
Enjoy your last evening.
Day 10: A Fond Farewell to Lofoten
