This ten-day journey along Norway’s western coast offers an immersive exploration of fjords, islands, and historic coastal communities, combining scenic drives with memorable boat experiences. Beginning in Bergen, travelers collect a rental car and drive north to Skjerjehamn, a beautifully preserved island harbor. Time here is devoted to slow exploration, from coastal walks and art installations to optional cycling, kayaking, or paddleboarding in sheltered waters.

The route continues to Florø, Norway’s westernmost town, where maritime history and island life take center stage. A highlight is the boat excursion to Kinn, home to a striking twelfth-century stone church and the dramatic Kinnaklova mountain, rising steeply from the sea and offering panoramic views for those who hike it.

Further north lies Kalvåg, a classic fishing village known for its wooden wharves, calm seascapes, and relaxed pace.
